You are allowed one Free Credit Report from EACH of the Credit Reporting Agencies every 12 months.  This will not, however give you a free credit SCORE. (Your score may be purchased on this site... of course.)  This helps you to investigate your credit file and find and correct any false information on your credit report (without having to purchase a membership or pay a monthly fee).
